A dimpled or witchy chin, droopy corners of the mouth or lip lines (smokers' lines) can occur due to a genetic predisposition of stronger muscles in this area or due to repetitive facial expressions and the ageing process. This can leave us feeling and looking older, by softening and reducing these lines, we often look younger, less tired and feel more refreshed. The face portrays an ‘emotional message’ at rest and in animation that others perceive and interpret, in both positive and negative ways. As we age and due to structural changes in the bone and soft tissues, the emotional ‘message’ may not accurately reflective how we really feel.
